EmpowHER Sand MINI CAMP
Ready to bring your game to the next level? Join us for a 3-day clinic where you will learn SAND strategies while working on the beach volleyball FUNdamentals. This will be a 3-day immersive session for beginner to beginner-Intermediate players (Rising 5th - 8th graders). We will simultaneously be hosting a SAND SELECT Series for higher level players we believe are ready for next level training.
When? Mon June 30 - Wed Jul 2 (Thurs Jul 3 - makeup day if inclement weather)
What to bring? Sunglasses, Water Bottle (we will have refill station), Sunscreen, Beach Towel, Sand Socks (or socks), hat optional
What to wear? Bathing Suit and Shorts / Tank or T-shirt
What if there is inclement weather? Florida July days often have quick storms in their forecast. We will find shelter if inclement weather is near for safety reasons. Weather will be assessed every night and early AM to confirm we are safe to train. If any day does not look like a feasible training day we will use Thursday July 3rd as a makeup date.
What if I can only make one or two days? Please reach out to Coach Stefanie via text 610-618-0709 with any related. We prefer all campers to make the full session if possible but can be more flexible if missing the later days or if you have experience with beach.
It will be hot so we will break as frequently as needed and take an ocean dip to cool our body temperatures. We will have adult coaches at the water when any athlete is cooling off and will enforce athletes cool off in front of the lifeguard station. Athletes cannot go in deeper than the coaches and if they fail to listen to these guidelines will be asked to cool off in the shower area for safety reasons.

Why Sand (beach volleyball) Training?
Do you know beach volleyball is now a collegiate and high school sport?! And growing very rapidly?! There are so many benefits of playing beach even at a young age.
1. Lots of contacts means lots of practice - with just two players on the court each player will need to be ready to move to the ball to keep the game going.
2. Enhanced Endurance - the resistance that sand provides forces you to work harder.
3. Communication - you want to communicate early and often to be sure both parties know who is getting what to conserve energy.
4. Accountability + Trust - each player has a lot to cover and will need to hold themselves accountable to be successful. They also need to learn to trust their partner in what area of the court they will cover.

Location
We will use the courts at 20th Ave North (1st choice) or 3rd Ave North when 20th Ave is not available.
Coaching Services
Our experienced coaches will provide / be available for group training, small group sessions, privates, tournament coaching (local and specific out of town events) as well as video feedback from events we are unable to participate in.
2025 Summer Session 3 - JULY
- EmpowHER SAND fees cover Sand Training and EmpowHER Sand Tank, tentative club vs club event @ St. Augustine Pier, Jersey only. They do NOT cover tournament fees, live tournament coaching (except select events), AAU/AVP/BVNE/USAV/p1440 Membership.

- An EmpowHER Sand Tank is included with registration.
- Rules of EmpowHERing our athletes – No negative talk about the program or any player in our program will be tolerated by players, coaches, or parents. We encourage a FULL team atmosphere - attitude amongst teammates MUST be encouraging and helpful. Negative talk to other players will not be tolerated. First offense will be a warning. Second offense will be removal from the program with no refund.
Practice Schedule is listed below; all updates will be made through Team Reach. We anticipate up to 1 weather cancels per month. Anything beyond will be made up.
July 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 28, 31 --- M | TH @ 5:00 - 7:00 PM (or 7:30 - 9:30 AM Sand Select Invitees)
$225 full month or $35 each session if you need to prorate.
